Dylan Thomas

Director of Media Arts

Dylan Thomas is an artist and musician, utilizing his training in audio engineering to support his diverse endeavors in a variety of areas. His early education in the field began at his childhood church home, where he worked audiovisual support. Years later he used his self-taught recording and production skills to and create an album of his own songwriting.

Motivated by a love of classical music and his interest in sound production and radio, Dylan became an on-air announcer at Classical 90.5 WSMC with his own live show. He enjoyed being immersed in music and learning about the history of the music he curated on air. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art,  he went on to work for the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, and worked with audiovisual on an enormous scale, enjoying learning the behind-the-scenes processes in audio production.

Now as a sound technician at First Presbyterian, Dylan works to support the services and congregation through live productions and enjoys getting to work alongside world-class musicians and ensembles. In his spare time he enjoys reading, cooking, and making art.
